NAMELESS

You the day
I the night
I the dark
You the light.
You the loud narration
I the untold story.
You the tap sound
I the foot mark.
You the eye
I the tears.
You the outcome
I the labour.
You the necessity
I the needless.
You the existent
I the survivor.
You the reality
I the illusion.
You choose
I am chosen.
In my trouble
Lies your pleasure
In my weakness
Lies your strength.
You the limitless sky
I the confined boundary.
You the name
I the nameless.
You the human
I the woman.

Art of Life

Always strive to live your life in such a way that when you are on your deathbed and look back at your life, you realize that your life couldn't have been better than the one you lived through. People on deathbed tend to remember their regrets more than their accomplishments and achievements. So, it is better to have a life with no regrets than having a life full of achievements.

Flicked !!

He unlocked the door, switched on the lights and entered the house closing the door behind him. He tried looking for her but couldn't find her around. He angrily placed himself on the chair.
"This is it. Let her come. I'll have to settle this down with her. She was supposed to reach before me and take care of the things."
The door opened again. She entered gracefully and asked smilingly, "How was your day?"
"Good." he said smiling back at her and joining her in the kitchen. All the anger he had has gone for a toss.

LIFE

We all talk about and perceive life in our own way. But what is life really like? How do we define life? What is it that constitutes life? Well starting with the simplest and yet the most complex definition of  life given by the dictionary is -"the existence of an individual human being or animal." or "the condition that distinguishes animals and plants from inorganic matter, including the capacity for growth, reproduction, functional activity, and continual change preceding death." But wait, is life that simple! Is life only about ability to breathe, going by the definition given by the dictionaries. If anything, this holds true for the primitive society where categorization of different beings was a perplexed undertaking and apparently they didn't know much about society, world and universe. But with the advent of civilization life is much more than just being denoted by something which is not dead or breathless. Today the word life alone has many connotations attached to it. For example, when I want to say that I am having the best time ever, I say that I am having the time of my life; we say as big as life when we want to talk about something larger than usual or grand; when we revive someone or something we say that we breathed life into it; when we want to get rid of something monotonous we say that we need a change of life; when we want someone to change radically we say go get a life and so on. So, hasn't life got much more connotations and importance than just the act of breathing?
Life is nothing but a collection of moments. It constitutes of the kind of moments we have lived that defines the kind of life we led. If our life has more beautiful and happy moments we definitely had a fulfilling and satisfactory life. In the same way if we have more sad or unhappy moments than the happy ones, we are said to have a disappointing life. But then again isn't it us who determine and label the moments of our life as good or bad, sad or happy, disheartening or fulfilling, and so on. It also depends on us that how we perceive a moment that we spend. Usually as human beings we tend to complain about every moment of what we don't have rather than appreciating what we already have. So in that case we are the ones who decide that how a particular moment we are going to spend adds charm to our life. There are small priceless moments which always go unnoticed. Putting it differently there is very few of us who actually enjoy every moment of our life with whatever we have. We hardly realize that life is all about the value we add to our moments which consequently constitutes our life.
Moments of joy on getting a compliment for the duplicate and cheap clothes we were embarrassed to wear, moments of satisfaction on having a tummy full of sweets after observing that one day fast, moments of achievement when you run that extra mile, moments of togetherness when your friends accompany you on that road less taken, moments of sorrow when the longing for the loved one continues, moment of feeling positive in life when someone silently makes a promise to stand by your side all your life, moment of love when your mom calls you every day just to make sure that her insane daughter is taking her meals on time.. All these moments would not have been felt as we feel them when we look at them now or may be a few years later. So do whatever you believe in and keep it simple. Don't complicate your life doing something that others expect you to do. We have just one life to live and living is not about being right or wrong, good or bad, high or low. Life is about experiencing all that you can in these limited number of years and create the best of the moments possible. Life is made life not by living the moments but rather creating them the way we want them to be.

I saw the person beyond that skin.
You saw my hands
I saw the things you like to do with them.
You saw my fingers
I saw how beautifully your fingers hold mine.
You saw my legs
I saw the places you love to go.
You saw my face
I saw how different from others you are.
You saw my figure

I RESIST.

Past

The mansion of past holds
Windows of memories
Through which we constantly
Switch between present and the past.
Curtains of unspoken and unexpressed feelings
Which always hid the real us.
Floors of bitter experiences
Walking through which we got clear ways.
Ceilings of the heartwarming incidents
Which always comforted us from the rains of distress.
Walls of portraits with people we adored
And who brought the brightest colors to our lives.
Furniture of the comfort we shared
With known and unknown people we met.
Living room of the lively interactions we once had
Which kept us going for a long time.
Gallery of the unseen and missed out events
Which we badly wanted to happen.
Veranda of special space
We occupied in some people's heart.
Pathways of sweet gestures by others
Which connected them to us for ever.
Doors of the rigidity we follow
To restrict ourselves from
Visiting unwanted memories that hurt.
Gate of the virtual boundaries boundary that separates
Present from the past
And allows every moment to enter
As soon as it ceases to be a thing of present.
And finally the Garden of priceless moments we spent
Which we never wanted to end.

The more of these luxuries
In the house of the past we have
The more rich
As a human being we are.

But the past house is after all
Nothing more than an outhouse
To the new house which we move in
And refer to as present.

Alive or just Exist?

When we dream big, we exist
But when we wholeheartedly fulfill
Even the smallest dreams of others, we are alive.

When we want the best to happen for us, we exist

But when we do the best we can
To make ends meet in others life, we are alive.

When we do things for ourselves, we exist

But when our thoughts include
Others welfare too, we are alive.

When we try our best to get

All the happiness in the world, we exist
But when others happiness matters to us
More than ours, we are alive.

When we cry for something we couldn't achieve, we exist

But when we have tears
Because of someone else's pain, we are alive.

When we almost die to get what we want, we exist

But when we live for somebody else's dream, we are alive.

When we strive hard to succeed in our lives, we exist

But when we put extra efforts
To make life easier for others, we are alive.

When we want success at any cost, we exist

But when we don't let greed for success
Take over our human instinct, we are alive.

When we want to be all powerful, we exist

But when we have enough power
To make a difference in somebody else's life, we are alive.

When we overlook others to gain benefits, we exist

But when we overlook benefits to gain people, we are alive.

When we tend to make others suffer

For our own happiness, we exist
But when we are able to change
Someone's tears into smile, we are alive.

When we love to live, we exist

But when we live to love, we are alive.

When we think about us alone

We justify our existence
But when we are able to make others existence worthwhile
We justify our living.

Sustaining existence is easy

But when we cease to exist nothing remains.
Being alive in the best sense of the word is onerous
But it makes our existence ceaseless.

Beauty

Beauty isn't about a well defined forehead,
It lies in the mind, thoughts and mentality one has.

Beauty isn't defined by a pair of beautiful eyes,

It's about the vision that one has in those.

Beauty isn't having perfectly curved lips,

It's about the deformed shape it takes to deliver a smile.

Beauty isn't having a perfect jaw line,

It's about the words that come out of these.

Beauty isn't having a melodious voice,

It's about the message it conveys.

Beauty isn't having a charming face,

It's about the charm it adds to someone's face when reminded of.

Beauty isn't having a fair complexion,

It's about being fair in all your intentions.

Beauty isn't having a sleek neck,

It's about the flexibility it has in bending for those we care.

Beauty isn't having a broad shoulder,

It's about the burden and concern it  carries for others.

Beauty isn't having muscular arms,

It's about the assistance of those that one offers.

Beauty isn't having attractive fingers,

It's about how strongly it holds someone in need.

Beauty isn't having slender legs,

It's about the stretch one walks with someone to help.

Beauty isn't having a brawny or compelling body,

It's about the strength it lends standing by somebody's side.

Beauty isn't having well built muscles,

It's about the feelings in the heart it covers.

Beauty isn't having an amazing height,

It's about the basic human stature that lies inside.

Beauty isn't having a pear shaped body,

It's about the beautiful soul it carries.

Beauty doesn't comprise of the visible features of the body

Which defines our physical appearance.
Beauty consists of the invisible traits of our mind and soul
Which defines our identity.
